Vendor Of The Month: WifeyCo.

One of the first vendors we had to the Wedding Buy & Sell: Lower Mainland group was Andrea from WifeyCo. She hadn't long been married, but after the huge success of her own stunning wedding, most of which was DIY, (and beautiful...Trust me, I've seen the pics and they brought a tear to my eye!), she went through planning withdrawl.  Andrea wanted to stay connected to the bridal scene, and so began her business.  Teacher by day, graphic designer by night, Andrea does it all!  From your Save The Dates, right down to Thank You cards you can find whatever you're looking for (and more...) on her websites,  WifeyCo. On Facebook & WifeyCo. On Etsy
and if you don't find that perfect item, then she'll create something just for you.  She has received nothing by 5-star ratings on her Etsy store so far.  That's pretty impressive!
Chalkboard Invitations

Andrea wants to help other brides save money and offers fantastic pricing on her ready-made templates.  You just have to provide her with your wedding information and she'll have your item ready for you, usually within 2-3 business days!
"When I look back, I can't believe I spent approximately $500 on 100 invites for my own wedding." ~ Andrea
Most brides (yes, even the DIY brides) will spend hours, even days, researching invitations.
Looking for the perfect suite only to find out that it's going to cost an arm and leg to have made and mailed.  Andrea offers printable solutions, so you can be assured that you're getting one heck of a deal on anything you order!  Once you've found something that speaks to your style, Andrea will create it with your information and send you the printable file(s).

Trendy RSVPs

Once you have the file, then the options to print them are yours.  You could send them to a professional printing company (Staples, UPS Store, etc) and have them printed with high-quality inks on card stock paper (about $0.50 for every two invites!!!) or you could save yourself even more money and print at home.  Purchase the envelopes from your local supply company, and you've just saved yourself possibly hundreds of dollars!!!  Whichever route you choose, you'll be impressed!

Thank You Place Cards

So whatever it is that you need for your wedding (or other life event... Or even just for home decor!), send Andrea at WifeyCo. a message.  She's got the passion and a beautifully creative mind to deliver an amazing printable to your inbox.  You won't be disappointed!

And for the next chapter in your lives, she is also offering the cutest little announcements, ever!

Vendor Of The Month: Borrowed Bridal Dreams

I ordered my wedding dress online.

Some would say that's crazy, but I had the time and I really couldn't justify the insane prices some of the bridal stores were offering up.  The dresses that I seemed to like were all in the "Insanely Expensive" category.

Well, now it's been just over two months... The dress has not arrived... The tracking number is invalid... The company that sold it to me has quit responding to me.  #despair.

What the bloody heck am I going to do?  Well, I called Betty... That's what I did.

Betty is a vendor on our Facebook group that runs a home-based wedding dress rental store in Chilliwack.  She is wonderfully affordable and now that I've met up with her, I can attest to the fact that she has the passion for this.

We spent a couple of hours (it really didn't seem that long.  I was having quite a good time!) looking through her many racks of dresses and trying so many of them on... There were a couple that I really did love, but they just wouldn't do up (curse this chocolate-loving figure).  Well, Betty saves the day again... She will have the dress altered.  She'll change the zipper to a corset back... She'll cut off 'floofy' arms... She'll do pretty much anything that she can to make you feel like a million bucks.  She has dresses in every size and color and I did find a dress that I loved.

But... I hear you say... Now you have to go out and buy a crinoline and/or hoop skirt... Then you need to get a veil and a sash, maybe a clutch?  No, I don't... Because Betty's awesome little self will include all of those very things in the more-than-affordable rental fee that she charges.  Talk about full meal deals!!!  She will even sew in a bustle so you can dance the night away without tripping over your dress!

If you are looking to keep your budget down, or you don't feel like having to deal with the rigmarole of dry-cleaning, storing and/or trying to re-sell your dress after your wedding, I'd strongly suggest giving Betty a call.  As she always says "The Groom rents his tuxedo, why not rent your dress?"  She kind of makes a good point, doesn't she?

Betty has even started making her own beautiful accessories including some amazing sashes and shawls... I wish only the best for Betty and her business.  She truly is an outgoing woman with a fantastic vision and oodles of passion.  She currently has about 250 dresses, including some cocktail dresses that she rents out for parties.  She can either be your first choice, or a fantastic and stress-free backup for when the internet fails you miserably, but she's definitely worth a visit!

Here are a couple of the sashes that she's made.  Such beautiful talent!  If you'd like an affordable sash made just for you, send her a message.  Contact info below!

Betty will be showcasing her business during the Chic Bridal Event at the White Chapel on April 19th if you'd like to pop by and have a chat with her without the pressure of commitment.
There will be a grand prize worth over $1000 up for grabs!
